From Monument to Masses will be releasing its first
recording as a four-song CD EP on
Dim Mak Records
We're putting finishing touches on it in the next two weeks. Official
release will be around December / January (or directly from us at
shows sometime mid to late November. For a VERY rough taste,
check this out.
From Monument to Masses played our third show last saturday
with some amazing bands. Special thanks to Ibobuki and
The Intima who both
played intense sets (and imparted some great stage jokes about
cops and onions). To top it all off, the show was also a benefit for
RAWA. Thanks to
George Chen
for setting it up.
Our show flyers are up in the IMAGE
section.
Special thanks to all those folks who came out to our first
two shows. We apologize for the technical difficulties (and long
setup time at Show #2)...we're working on getting it down to a science.
But really, the feedback has been great and very inspiring. We've met some
wonderful people and hope to talk to you
all soon. Please send us more (e.g. the technical things cuz at this point
it's hard for us to gauge if the sound is balanced, if the samples are discernible, etc.)
We're big fans of criticism / self-criticism, so please be brutally
honest. Special thanks to Kent, Juba,
Guitar vs. Gravity, Len Brown Society, and
Sixty Foot Time.
Our next show is Saturday, Sept. 29th with some amazing bands from Canada. See
shows for more info.
New photos of
the September 8 recording session plus an answer to oh-so-difficult question:
"So what do you sound like?".
From Monument To Masses will play its second show on
September 15, 2001 at The Coffee Gallery in San Francisco, California.

From Monument To Masses played its first show on
August 31, 2001 at the Stork Club in Oakland, California. Special
thanks to Kent, Juba, and Guitar Vs. Gravity for playing (in some cases
with minimal notice) and all the folks who came out to support our first
time out. For shows to come, click here. |
